The major aim of constituting this examination body for Punjab elementary schools was to improve and standardize the quantity of education in the schools. As other reason behind it was to ensure uniformity among the educational standards of the public and private schools. Just after one year of its constitution, Punjab Examination Commission took the responsibility of holding the annual examination of 5th and 8th grade every year. From then till now, these examinations are held in the month of February in all the 36 registered districts of Province of Punjab.
In order to get yourself registered for the exams, you have to fill the registration form www.pec.edu.pk and submit it before the due date with at the required documents and correct personal and academic information. The forms with incorrect or incomplete information will not be entertained for further processing. The admission fee has to be submitted along with the registration form in the banks mentioned by PEC. You can acquire this registration form either by the district office of PEC in your city or download it from the official website of PEC. The results are declared usually in the last week of March which can be checked both by the published gazette of PEC www.pec.edu.pk and by the online websites that upload the results on the very date.
Unfortunately, the Punjab Examination Commission has seemingly failed to perform its duties of efficiently conducting the exams of grade V and VIII.
