    Co-education has always remained a controversial issue in Pakistan. A large number of populations is strictly against this system, considering it against the religious the religious teachings. On the other hand, there is also a sizeable group of people who believe that co-education is the need of hour and should be adopted in all schools and universities in order to enjoy its benefits to the fullest.

    Both the schools of thoughts have there reasons to support this emerging system in our country or to straightly oppose it. The supporters argue that this system has the ability to eliminate the economical problems faced by the developing countries like Pakistan. As there is a huge financial barrier in maintaining separate schools for boys and girls. By introducing co-education in all schools, we can save a large amount of money that is being spent on separate school. A country can only flourish, when its literacy rate increases with every passing year. In our country, there is shortage of teaching staff. Co-education will be helpful to compensate the less number of teachers by teaching boys and girls together.

    The opponents of co-education system believe that it is against the religious morality, it does not conform to the social and cultural tradition. The major drawback to this system is that it will lead a Muslim nation to gradual moral depravity. The free and unbounded interaction of boys and girls leads to prohibited relations that are condemned by religion.
